SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Collective Medical, delivering the nation’s largest network for care collaboration, has secured $47.5 million in Series A funding. The investment, led by Kleiner Perkins, will be used to expand and advance the company’s care team collaboration network accelerating efforts to drive better patient outcomes nationwide.
Hyderabad: Following the extra vigil by Excise and police sleuths, ganja peddlers in city are delivering ganja to a specific location by charging few extra hundreds. Most of the customers who opt for such services are found to be teenagers with a large peer groups amongst which contacts of these peddlers circulate. Psychiatrists believe that providing excessive cash to young kids may give them an opportunity to opt for such services too.
Closer to home, the Irving House and Harding House, in Cambridge, welcome guests to partake as long as they don’t smoke inside or create a ruckus, says owner and manager Rachael Solem. If you prefer homier accommodations, try searching budandbreakfast.com, an Airbnb-style online marketplace where people rent rooms, apartments, and even seaside cottages to those looking for a ganja-oriented getaway.

“Event notification systems (ENS) and care coordination applications have historically struggled to provide actionable information to providers at the point-of-care,” says Noah Knauf, partner at Kleiner Perkins. “Collective Medical is the first technology we’ve seen that allows the providers and payers in a local healthcare system to efficiently collaborate, delivering significantly better outcomes through risk analytics, real-time notifications, and shared care planning tools. Supporting this team is a rare opportunity to be a part of something that is meaningfully changing the way care is delivered in this country.”

Closest dispensary to my house I'm pretty sure. I think there might be one or two a tiny bit closer, but it's just such a habit for me to go here lol so I just keep coming back. I've never had a bad experience - one time this girl was getting kinda short with me and I felt a teensy bit insulted but in the end she was just trying to get me the best deal on bud as possible :) and she warmed up when I was like ohhhhh ok I get it sorry I'm just so bad at math. She had to write it down lol so embarrassing  so at the end I was genuinely so happy and thankful for her. If you're reading this now thank you so much for helping my stupid ass !! I've had good experiences with every budtender here and even the security guard.

For many the idea of a strain with a 1:1 ratio of THC and CBD may sound ridiculous, but growers strove to achieve this in their strain Cannatonic. Their final product ended up being a 50/50 hybrid strain that barely achieved a THC percentage higher than 6 percent, however, it’s CBD content tested between 6 and 17 percent. Great for those that need pain relief in the morning or afternoon, the strain may also calm muscle spasms, migraines and headaches. It may calm nausea, anxiety, stress and mood disorders.

You can either throw a tremendous number of expensive, scarce bodies at the problem, which isn’t scalable, or you can use technology. I’m not talking about mere notifications that an encounter has occurred, which we do, but a deeper level of collaboration. A mental health provider in the emergency department creates a crisis plan for the patient at 3:00 in the morning that involves a primary care provider who is affiliated with a multi-specialty clinic that is not connected to the health system and a Medicaid managed care manager. How do you help those individuals get on the same page and interact with the patient in sequence so that we’re not wasting resources or missing opportunities to help the patient navigate across the continuum, efficiently using the existing technology infrastructure of each organization? That’s the set of problems that we’re focused on.

Eaze Wellness is an online marketplace offering hemp-derived CBD products to customers in 41 states and the District of Columbia. So if you’re interested in experiencing CBD for yourself, there’s never been a better time to buy. One of our moms, Patti, is a social worker in the emergency department. She had been working on complex patient care coordination, particularly for patients who move across emergency departments. She had hypothesized that not only was this happening, but that a subset of those patients was probably opioid-seeking. Nobody talked about that 15 or 20 years ago, so she was pretty prescient on the ground.
The findings were then reviewed with the physician IT group, or what Sanders calls the PIT crew, to select what they refer to as the “Goldilocks” cohort. “This is a group of patients that had the combination of low cost, short length of stay, low readmissions and almost zero mortality rate. We then can publish the care path and then monitor adherence to that care path across our physicians,” Sanders says.
CBD is a compound found in cannabis plants. When ingested, it often provides many of the positive side effects commonly caused by marijuana (pain relief, relaxed mood, etc.). However, because it is non-psychoactive, it won’t produce the mind-altering “high” traditionally associated with the drug. And because CBD oil and other products can be derived from hemp plants, which contain less than .3 percent of the psychoactive cannabinoid THC, they avoids many of the legal pitfalls that plague pot-based products. That’s where Eaze Wellness comes in.
In three months, he and his roommate van den Akker, also a computer science student, delivered a web-based application. It included documentation, such as demographics, social determinants, medical history highlights, ER visits and treatment plan. “We tried to minimize the effort hospitals had to expend,” says van den Akker. “If you go after a big data ask, you get pushback.” Still, St. Luke’s didn’t purchase the software. “Hospitals didn’t want to take a bet on two kids in college with no experience in healthcare,” says Green.
My good friend started it 24 years ago and needed help. He asked me to manage the coffee house for six months. I was doing massage therapy and just got back after studying in Thailand. I wanted to give back to the community. I agreed to six months and stayed for four years. I fell in love with an amazing artist community at Abbot’s Habit. A time that is long gone. This is a time before everyone had a personal computer. They came to the shop to grab the newspaper. They were never known for their coffee, they were known for the community. I really got to know this amazing community.
Marion expressed surprise at the seemingly all-encompassing focus on artificial intelligence this year, given the steady march towards value-based healthcare-driven mandates. “Outside of one vendor, I’m not really seeing a whole lot of emphasis this year on value-based care; that’s disappointing,” Marion said. “I don’t know whether people don’t get it or not about value-based care, but the vendors are clearly more focused on AI right now.”

Add a dose of relaxation to your weekend escape by choosing an inn that embraces cannabis consumption. For an immersive adventure, head to Maine Greenyards in Auburn, which offers comfortable suites, an indoor pool and hot tub, and breakfast featuring its own farm-fresh eggs. Guests can bring marijuana, and they’re encouraged to tour the innkeepers’ cannabis gardens and learn about the diverse strains under cultivation.
Scanning the exhibit floor on Monday, Glenn Galloway, CIO of the Center for Diagnostic Imaging, an ambulatory imaging center in the Minneapolis suburb of St. Louis Park, Minn., noted that “There’s a lot of focus on AI this year. We’re still trying to figure out exactly what it is; I think a lot of people are doing the same, with AI.” In terms of whether what’s being pitched is authentic solutions, vaporware, or something in between, Galloway said, “I think it’s all that. I think there will be some solutions that live and survive. There are some interesting concepts of how to deliver it. We’ve been talking to a few folks. But the successful solutions are going to be very focused; not just AI for a lung, but for a lung and some very specific diagnoses, for example.” And what will be most useful? According to Galloway, “Two things: AI for the workflow and the quality. And there’ll be some interesting things for what it will do for the quality and the workflow.”
Collective Medical addresses those challenges by mining data universally available in all EHRs and filtering those data, displaying directly within a clinician’s workflow only what is relevant to a particular care decision. Furthermore, Collective immediately alerts a patient’s entire care team when an event, such as an ER admission, occurs, thereby accelerating care coordination.

The rehabilitation of neck injuries occurs in three phases. During the first phase, called the acute phase, physiatrists treat pain the inflammation. After they make a specific diagnosis and develop a treatment plan, physiatrists may offer treatment options like ultrasound, electrical stimulation, mobilization, medication, ice and even specialized injections.

In 2006, they tried to launch the solution as a company, but there were no customers. “No one was willing to take a chance,” Klomp recalls. “Total crickets.” So all three founders went on to other jobs. Klomp went to work for Bain & Co. But the website for the startup was still up, and in 2009 they were contacted by a hospital in Spokane, Wash., that was trying to do work in the high-utilizer space and couldn’t find any other solutions. So the three old friends from Boise resurrected the company.
So much remains ambiguous about the regulated future of legalized pot in California, even more so in the Central Valley. As some cities are still waiting to make their final decision, others have banned it outright, and Fresno is soon to embark on the unique challenge of writing new policies for medical marijuana businesses, from growing all the way to sales – but one thing is clear, and that it is going to make for a busy yet very interesting 2018.
